Uplifted: A Rope Suspension Workshop is an immersive and empowering experience for anyone curious about the mechanics, artistry, and freedom of suspension in shibari—whether you're flying solo or lifting someone else. This class focuses on the essential skills needed to safely and confidently perform self-suspension, while also offering guidance for those who want to rig partners with care, creativity, and communication.
You'll learn about anchor points, harnesses, line management, and the critical role of body awareness and nerve safety. Our instructor will guide you through step-by-step progressions for both partial and full suspensions, with variations for different body types and flexibility levels. We’ll also cover troubleshooting, emergency preparedness, and how to practice in ways that build trust in your rigging—whether it's for yourself or someone else.
