About the event

Embodied Consent: Feel Your Way - Reclaiming Pleasure

Description: This 2-hour, interactive workshop will explore consent in new ways that go beyond enthusiastic consent models and focus on an individualized, somatic approach that accounts for the identities and experiences that impact how we 'show up' in consent-centered situations.

Topics to be explored include:- the current landscape of consent education- how our identities and experiences shape our relationship to consent- social dynamics that impact conversations around consent- the importance of centering equity as we evolve our understanding of consent; and- how an embodied approach to consent can help us reclaim our own pleasure.

This workshop is designed to break away from the acronyms we all know and love in order to help attendees reimagine what consent and negotiation can look like, and how we can center pleasure and exploration while maintaining a sense of safety and better understanding our boundaries.
