For many people, trauma creates a painful disconnection from the body. It can leave you feeling estranged from yourself, uncertain of your physical sensations, or even unsafe in your own skin. This class is about gently rebuilding that connection, creating a bridge back to your body through curiosity, compassion, and empowerment.
We’ll explore how trauma impacts your relationship with your physical self, including how it can alter your perception of sensations, trigger discomfort or numbness, and make it difficult to trust your body’s signals. By understanding these patterns, you can begin to reclaim your sense of agency and safety.
Through guided somatic practices, you’ll learn to reconnect with your body in small, manageable steps. We’ll use breathwork, mindfulness, and gentle movement to help you feel present and grounded.
