About the event

Are you curious about the impact combining psychedelics and sexual experiences could have on your experiences both within a psychedelic journey and beyond? Psychonauts have long been reporting instances of profound sexual awakening, healing, and connection through using entheogens. Sometimes these experiences happen organically. Other times they are mindfully created. Join sex therapist and psychonaut Bria Tavakoli to learn about the possibilities, including safety considerations, history, and best practices for your explorations. Gain ideas and inspiration to inform your pleasure research practice, plus learn a bit about what the scientific research has to say about this enticing topic. If you’ve already been there and done that, this class can help you better integrate your past experiences and prepare for future adventures.

We’re Denver’s home for research-based, shame-free, embodied, and inclusive sex education.  Everything you should have learned in high school and more.  We believe sex education should be pleasure-focused and accessible to all!

Spaces are limited, so reserve your spot now.  Our classes are research-based and educational, but are not meant to replace expert medical advice or care.  All of our classes are for people 18 years of age and older.

About the Instructor:

Bria Tavakoli (she/her/hers)  is a sex therapist, intimacy coach, and veteran yoga and meditation teacher. She offers psychedelic preparation and integration to clients. Her work interweaves her experience as a journalist (MS, Columbia University), current studies in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program she’s almost done with (Adams State University, master’s, May 2024). Bria has worked and studied with Psychedelics Today, attended the Psychedelic Science conference in Denver in 2023, and has ample lived experience with the healing and revealing psychedelic journeys can offer. In another era of her life, she served as an editor at Yoga Journal, and has contributed to publications like Prevention, Elle, and Shape. She has forever fascinations with the cosmos, human relationships, and cats. Bria will begin work on her doctorate in the near(ish) future. Some of her clients semi-jokingly refer to her as the “Sex, Drugs, and Rock n Roll therapist” because yes, in addition to all of the psychedelic and sex stuff, she fronted a rock back in the day.
