About the event

Pain is a barrier but not a roadblock to pleasure.

**Sex With Chronic Pain** is an empathetic and informative class led by a distinguished psychology professor with 20 years of teaching experience, who is also a survivor of Stage 4 cancer. This class delves into the often-overlooked intersection of chronic pain and sexual intimacy, offering participants a unique perspective that combines deep academic knowledge with personal experience.

The instructor, having navigated the challenges of chronic pain and illness firsthand, brings a wealth of understanding and compassion to the discussion. The course covers how chronic pain can impact sexual health and relationships, offering practical advice on communication, adapting sexual activities, and finding ways to maintain intimacy despite physical limitations.

Participants are invited to explore their concerns and learn strategies for enhancing their sexual well-being in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. This class is a safe space for anyone looking to gain insight into managing intimacy while living with chronic pain, guided by someone who truly understands the journey.

We’re Denver’s home for research-based, shame-free, embodied, and inclusive sex education.  Everything you should have learned in high school and more. We believe sex education should be pleasure-focused and accessible to all!

About the Instructor:  Fawn O’Breitzman has been a college professor for over 20 years. She specializes in issues of Sex and Gender and presents at conferences all around the country. She does inclusion training for businesses and has worked with everyone from hospitals to construction yards to help companies make sure they are providing the best and most respectful care to their clients. She has been married for over 20 years, has two adopted kids, and is recovering from Stage 4 Lymphoma (diagnosed first in 2022).

Spaces are limited, so reserve your spot now.  Our classes are research-based and educational, but are not meant to replace expert medical advice or care.  All of our classes are for people 18 years of age and older.
