About the event
Understanding Asexuality for Those on the Spectrum is a compassionate and educational class that explores the intersections between autism and asexuality. Many people on the spectrum experience sexuality differently—or may not feel sexual attraction at all—and this space is designed to unpack those experiences without stigma or judgment. Through discussion and accessible resources, participants will learn the basics of asexuality, the wide range of identities within the ace spectrum, and how these experiences often overlap with autistic perspectives.
The class emphasizes self-discovery and validation, offering tools to help participants better understand their own identities or support loved ones who identify as asexual. We’ll explore common myths and misconceptions about both autism and asexuality, challenge harmful stereotypes, and highlight the diversity of experiences within each community. Participants are encouraged to share insights, ask questions, and connect with others navigating similar journeys.
