About the event
Who is this class for?
Kink can be powerful, liberating, and deeply affirming — but navigating it as a BIPOC person comes with unique considerations that are often overlooked in mainstream spaces. This class creates an intentional environment where Black, Indigenous, and People of Color can learn the foundations of BDSM without having to filter, code-switch, or explain their lived experiences. We’ll break down terminology, consent practices, negotiation skills, and the basics of common kinks in a way that centers cultural awareness and personal agency.
We’ll also examine how race, history, stereotypes, and systemic power dynamics intersect with kink. What does it mean to engage in power exchange when your body already exists inside real-world power structures? How do you separate fantasy from harm? This class makes room for those conversations — honestly and respectfully — while reinforcing that kink should always be consensual, informed, and chosen.
