Have you ever wondered, "Could I be asexual?" or "Could I be demisexual"? Have you thought this about your partner? Perhaps these terms are pretty foreign to you and you just want to learn more! "Diving Into Asexuality and Demisexuality" is an inclusive and educational class designed to explore the nuances of asexuality and demisexuality. Whether you're curious about these identities or seeking to better understand your own experiences, this class provides a welcoming space to delve into the meaning of asexual and demisexual orientations. Participants will learn about the spectrum of sexual attraction, how these identities fit within it, and the diverse ways individuals experience attraction, intimacy, and relationships.
Through open discussion and expert-led presentations, this class will explore common challenges faced by people who identify as asexual or demisexual, such as navigating societal expectations, building meaningful relationships, and addressing misconceptions about their identities. The course also highlights how self-acceptance and community can play vital roles in living authentically and forming deep connections with others.
Led by someone passionate and knowledgable about the topics, "Diving Into Asexuality and Demisexuality" creates a safe and supportive environment for people of all backgrounds to learn, share, and grow. About the Instructor:  Fawn O’Breitzman has been a college psychology professor for over 20 years. She specializes in issues of Sex and Gender and presents at Transgender conferences all around the country. She does inclusion training for businesses and has worked with everyone from hospitals to construction yards to help companies make sure they are providing the best and most respectful care to their clients. She has been a social worker and therapist, as well as a wife to a gender queer person and a mother to two adopted children. Her goal is to help as many people as possible have a better understanding of their sexual selves.Â
