Ecstatic Dance

Let Your Spirit Soar at the Sexploratorium!  Embark on a transformative journey of self-expression and pure joy with our exhilarating Ecstatic Dance sessions. Join a vibrant community of movers and shakers as we create a sacred space to connect, let loose, and dance like nobody's watching. This is an invitation to embrace the rhythm of life and be present with your body and with each other.  There are no right or wrong moves—only the expression of your unique self.

The “Arc” of an Ecstatic Dance set: Ecstatic dance always begins slowly, then ramps up to a “peak,” then ramps back down again. We’ll begin each session with an opening circle and a little discussion of our intentions for the dance.  We’ll connect in a closing circle by sharing our experiences of the dance with each other. Our sessions are open to individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and dance levels. No experience is required—just bring your open heart and willingness to explore.

Our dance space is intentional; respect, consent, and personal boundaries are emphasized, fostering a supportive community spirit.  Since there’s no talking on the dance floor, we can explore the beauty of nonverbal communication through movement, transcending language barriers and connecting on a deeper level.

Headmistress Stina has been collecting great ecstatic dance set for the last 20 years.  Each month, we’ll highlight a new, amazing DJ, some local, some from far afield.  Each one carefully chosen to take you on a euphoric, embodied musical journey.

We’re Denver’s home for research-based, shame-free, embodied, and inclusive sex education.  Everything you should have learned in high school and more.  We believe sex education should be pleasure-focused and accessible to all!

Your host, Headmistress Stina French (ex-college professor, author/editor, sex educator, and proud kinkster), has 20+ years of experience in creating and fostering safe spaces in both college and kink environments.
