About the event
Enjoying Sex Despite Chronic Pain is a supportive, body-aware class designed for people living with chronic pain who want to cultivate intimacy and pleasure on their own terms. This workshop honors the reality that pain can complicate—but doesn’t have to erase—sexual connection and desire. We’ll explore adaptive strategies, communication tools, and body-positive approaches to help you reconnect with your sexuality in ways that feel empowering and sustainable.
Guided by an experienced educator who lives with chronic pain, this class blends educational content with lived experience. Topics include pain-friendly positions, the role of pacing and timing, sensual alternatives to penetrative sex, and ways to advocate for your needs with partners. You’ll also learn how to tune into your body’s cues and reframe intimacy around pleasure rather than performance. Emphasis is placed on creating consent-driven, pressure-free encounters that work with—not against—your unique physical reality.
