About the event

Different sexual orientations are a fact of life. Let us help you navigate that conversation in an age-appropriate way.

At the Sexploratorium, we believe in nurturing a culture of understanding and acceptance from a young age. Our class is designed for professionals, parents and caregivers of children aged 6 to 18. This class aims to help you promote tolerance, respect, and empathy while addressing questions your curious kids might have. We’ll cover various approaches to teaching the concept of sexual orientation in an age-appropriate manner.

We celebrate all types of families and relationships, making sure every child feels valued. Class will also include a consideration of different types of family structures that can result from the wide variance of parents’ sexual orientations.

Continuing Education Credits: We can provide a paper or electronic certificate of completion.

We’re Denver’s home for research-based, shame-free, embodied, and inclusive sex education.  Everything you should have learned in high school and more.  We believe sex education should be pleasure-focused and accessible to all!

About the instructor: Fawn O’Breitzman has been a college professor for over 20 years. She specializes in issues of Sex and Gender and presents at Transgender conferences all around the country. She does inclusion training for businesses and has worked with everyone from hospitals to construction yards to help companies make sure they are providing the best and most respectful care to their clients. She is a cis-gender lesbian married to a gender-queer individual. They are raising their two kids with their gay male best friend.

Spaces are limited, so reserve your spot now.  Our classes are research-based and educational, but are not meant to replace expert medical advice or care.  All of our classes are for people 18 years of age and older.
