Gonorrhea

Gonorrhea symptoms include a thick, greenish-yellow or white discharge from the genitals, a burning sensation when urinating, sharp pain in the lower abdomen, and discomfort during sex. Itching and irritation around the genitals, pain or swelling in the pelvic area, and a sore throat from oral gonorrhea are also common.

Transmission: Gonorrhea spreads through vaginal, anal, or oral sex with an infected person.

Prevention: To prevent gonorrhea, use condoms during sex, ensure mutual monogamy with a partner who has tested negative for STIs, and undergo regular STI testing.
